Your Role

The Automation Systems section operates within the Design & Engineering area at Saab Kockums. The section is responsible for the development and further enhancement of automation and security systems for surface vessels. Working as a systems engineer with us is a highly varied job where you are often involved throughout the entire project, from requirements analysis, system design, drawing documentation, procurement, software development, commissioning, and verification on board the vessels.

In your role as a systems engineer for security systems, you will participate in the development and further enhancement of systems for access control and intrusion alarms on surface vessels. You will be surrounded by knowledgeable, ambitious, and helpful colleagues. Our work is often carried out in smaller teams through interactions with both internal and external contacts.

In the section, we also conduct R&D and supervise thesis work.

The operations are based in Karlskrona.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, energized by learning new things, and always strives to gain more knowledge in their field. You will become one of our contact persons for security systems for our surface vessels, so you need to enjoy taking on that role. To succeed, you need a structured working method, the ability to grasp complex issues, be self-driven, and have a desire to achieve set goals and results.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in system work within access control and intrusion alarms
• Understanding of electronic systems
• Experience with system design, drawing documentation, or similar system work

You should have a solid technical interest and good ability in both oral and written communication in Swedish and English. The job requires you to be proactive with good collaboration skills.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
